Housing & Community Development
Our housing development includes rental and for-sale affordable housing for low to moderate income people as well as providing supportive housing for formerly homeless and low-income Americans, especially Filipino-Americans and others requiring safe housing assistance. The creation of these products is driven by the mission of FCDC to create affordable housing that rebuilds and develops stable and healthy communities. Our housing development enhances the lives of the residents it serves and neighborhoods by emphasizing on holistic strategy to development that never loses focus for community’s needs or vision.
FCDC is actively working on providing affordable housing for community members in South of Market (SoMa) and the Tenderloin. It is working with developers, community organizations, funders and investors toward this goal.
The first project of FCDC objective was to conduct a survey of the Filipino Community in South of Market. In order to provide services and assistance to the community, we had to find out what their needs and hopes are. Read the survey report here.
